This might be the most simple and basic article you’ll ever read. Best of all, it will be short and concise. The premise is simple: Get fit. Eat well. Train your arse off. Rinse and repeat. Because with all the jargon that is floating around in regards to the topic of COVID, the one activity that people seem to have forgotten in this pandemic, is the importance of daily exercise.
Twitter is currently ablaze with everything vaccine related. The usual commentators are quick to give you their usual opinions and the likes of Ben Shapiro and Alyssa Milano and co. are not going to save you. Exercise will.
The government aren’t coming to save you either. You’re just a number to them. It’s rare they promote anything related to exercise – even now, during a pandemic. One look at the Twitter or Instagram feeds of any politician and you’ll notice that this topic is not on their agenda. Not even a glancing reference to fitness. This is all on you, so get out there and train.
As a disclaimer, I have had one shot of the Pfizer vaccine and I am closing in on my second, and as beneficial as it has been, it is not the magic pill. In the long term, exercise will be the magic pill. Don’t think that because you’re vaccinated you can rest easy – exercise.

For those who are against the vaccine, good luck to you. But you need to be the fittest person in the room. Liking tweets by commentators who share similar political ideologies as you will not protect you from COVID. Exercise however, offers a far greater resistance, so start running.
Likewise, for the people of faith. It won’t be the blood of Christ that will be your vaccine, rather, it will be exercise. Start doing some hills – that will get the blood pumping.
The stark reality is that COVID is here to stay. It’s now part of the community. So, get off social media for 30 minutes and spend that time exercising. Because no one is coming to save you – except you.
